This micro course, designed for students as well as working professionals, aims to help participants hone their communication skills. The course begins with an investigation into the relationship between language and communication. Participants learn about the various ways in which meaning is generated by individuals and groups. They also learn about the effects of of signs, signals, individual perceptions and relationships on message comprehension. Most importantly, participants get to work individually and in groups on enhancing the effectiveness of their verbal and non-verbal communication in a variety of social and work related settings.
Course Objectives:
- To help participants identify the key variables that impact communication effectiveness in social as well as work related settings.
- To assist participants in applying evidence based practices for improving their communication skills.

On successful completion of the course participants would be able to:
- Gain insights into the relationship between language and communication.
- Speak more effectively in social as well and work related settings.
